I first heard about Nisolo when my husband and I moved to Nashville in 2014. I had gone to Porter Flea (a local handmade market) and I fell in love with everything Nisolo had there. Of course I couldn’t take it all home with me, so the first item I purchased was a wallet.
I was so excited about the wallet because of its unique look and great quality. To this day, I haven't used another wallet and it looks even better than the day I bought it. Since then, I've purchased a few too many pairs of shoes and a couple bags.
Nisolo creates opportunities for over 500 people. Not only do they own their own factory in Peru, but they have partner factories and work with independent artisans in other countries as well. Nisolo takes a "direct-to-consumer approach", which means that by providing directly to customers they are able to offer fair prices while still providing fair wages, benefits, and a healthy work environment for employees.
You can shop with them on their website or if you’re in Nashville you can visit their flagship store!
